The new Express Entry Draw categories that Canada suggests by 2025.

In order to determine the categories for the 2025 Express Entry draws, Immigration of Canada is accepting public input and comments from partners and stakeholders between June 27, 2024, and July 28, 2024.

The IRCC also examines the current categories established for EE draws and lists the priority vocations designated for the Express Entry system’s immigrant selection process.

A new category aimed at teachers and early childhood educators is being proposed as a solution to the labor shortfall in the education industry.

The survey indicates potential professions that the IRCC could add in the new education category.

– Kindergarten and elementary school instructors

– Teacher helpers in elementary and secondary education

– Early childhood instructors and support staff

– Teachers at secondary schools

–  Counselors in education

– Teachers of individuals with impairments.

Canada Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program (SAWP) – Temporary Foreign Worker Program

Employers may use this program to hire temporary foreign workers (TFWs) from participating nations for up to eight months, starting on January 1 and ending on December 15, as long as they can guarantee the workers 240 hours of work in no more than six weeks.

In order for a foreign national to be granted a work permit under the SAWP, they need to fulfill the subsequent criteria:

– possess a favorable LMIA from their first employment

– the going rate for that particular item;

– the activity needs to be associated with “primary agriculture on farms.”

– be a citizen of a country with a SAWP agreement

Manitoba PNP draw invited 250 PR under skilled overseas worker category.

250 invitations to permanent residence were issued on June 25th, 2024, as part of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) under the Skilled Worker Overseas category.

This draw focused on eligible foreign worker profiles that declared their present occupation as one of the following and had an MPNP EOI score of 516.

31301: Psychiatric nurses and registered nurses
31302: Practitioners of Nursing
32101 – Practical nurses with licenses
33102: Orderlies, patient service associates, and nurse aides
For the Skilled Worker Overseas category, this is one of the lowest cutoff scores that has been observed recently.

In this MPNP draw, 93 of the invited individuals possessed both a job seeker validation code and a verified Express Entry profile.

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream (SWO)

Designed for foreign skilled workers, the SWO provides two pathways:

1. The Manitoba Express Entry Pathway is available to individuals who meet the requirements of another MPNP stream, have close family ties to Manitoba, are skilled in one of the province’s high-demand occupations, and meet Express Entry requirements.
2. The Human Capital Pathway emphasizes the opportunity for qualified foreign migrants with expertise in in-demand occupations to find employment in Manitoba when they arrive.
