Starting on September 30, a new immigration EOI system in Alberta.

Updates on the New AAIP: On September 30, 2024, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) will launch a new Expression of Interest (EOI) system, which will revolutionize the way applications are chosen.

The purpose of this change is to improve efficiency and better match Alberta’s labor market requirements with the immigration process.

In order to show their interest in coming to Alberta, candidates use the EOI system, a points-based selection process.

Candidates will be added to a selection pool akin to the Express Entry pool upon submitting an EOI.

From time to time, AAIP will select applicants from this pool and invite the top performers who fit the demands of the local labor market to submit an application for immigration.

Newest Express Entry Draw: 964 Invitations to Permanent Residency

The eighth Express Entry lottery of the month awarded 964 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency today.

All candidates in the pool having a provincial nomination and a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 686 or higher were eligible to enter the Express Entry draw today.

We might see more draws on Wednesday or Thursday, most likely for STEM or Canadian Experience Class (CEC), since it’s Tuesday and this is a PNP-only draw.

209 PR Invitations Were Sent in the New Ontario Express Entry Draw.

209 provincial nomination invitations were issued out by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on July 25, 2024, as part of an Express Entry draw conducted under the Human Capital Priorities stream (HCP).

OINP has delivered these invitations just a day after decreasing the qualifying standards for OINP Express Entry draws under the HCP for candidates who fit the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

With the goal of residing in Ontario and requiring at least six months of experience in the key occupations specified under NOC 31102—general practitioners and family physicians—OINP targeted Express Entry profiles.

Those who match the qualifying requirements above and have an OINP express entry draw CRS score between 395 and 444 have been invited to claim provincial nominations for express entry profiles generated between July 25, 2023, and July 25, 2024.

The invitation to claim provincial nominations will now be sent to candidates who have expressed interest; they will now have 45 days to reply.

After OINP approves this provincial nomination, 600 more points will be awarded, raising the CRS score of these profiles to 1,044 and 995.

The new Express Entry Draw categories that Canada suggests by 2025.

In order to determine the categories for the 2025 Express Entry draws, Immigration of Canada is accepting public input and comments from partners and stakeholders between June 27, 2024, and July 28, 2024.

The IRCC also examines the current categories established for EE draws and lists the priority vocations designated for the Express Entry system’s immigrant selection process.

A new category aimed at teachers and early childhood educators is being proposed as a solution to the labor shortfall in the education industry.

The survey indicates potential professions that the IRCC could add in the new education category.

– Kindergarten and elementary school instructors

– Teacher helpers in elementary and secondary education

– Early childhood instructors and support staff

– Teachers at secondary schools

–  Counselors in education

– Teachers of individuals with impairments.
