4,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency were given out today for the first express entry draw of 2024, which targeted 24 STEM occupations.

After about four months, the much anticipated STEM targeted the round of invites, which raised the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score to 491 from the previous STEM-only draw.

One day earlier, on April 10, 2024, an all-program draw was held as the final draw. 1,280 ITAs with a 549 minimum CRS were issued.

Canada intends to exceed its record immigration target of 465,000 invitations for permanent residency in 2024, having set a target of 465,000 for 2023.

Canada issued 975 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the Transport professions category in another targeted Express Entry draw.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for the March 13 draw was 430 points, 5 points lower than the previous Transport Occupations draw on December 20, 2023, which had a minimum CRS score of 435 points.

The most recent draw, which included all programmes, took place on March 12, 2024. It issued 2,850 ITAs, with a minimum CRS of 525.

Canada issues 2,850 Express Entry invitations to apply under the General category.

The first Express Entry draw in March 2024 distributed 2,850 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency in a general round of invites.

A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 525 points is 9 points lower than the previous all-program draw, which was held on February 28, 2024 and had a minimum CRS score of 534 points.

The last draw took place on February 29, 2024, and it was for French language proficiency. It granted 2,500 ITAs, with a minimum CRS of 336.
