8. Citizenship

11. Visit

A Visitor’s visa may be used for single or multiple entry. Single-entry Visitor visas are issued for the maximum period of six months from the expected travel date. Multiple-entry Visitor visas are issued for the maximum period 10 years or a month before the passport or re-entry visa expiry date, whichever comes first.

12. Caregiver Pilot Project - Pathway to Permanent Residency

Canada has designed a variety of immigration pathway programs to help all the eligible foreign caregivers to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residency.

  • The Interim Pathway Program designed for foreign Caregivers is not accepting applications anymore.
  • The Home Child Care Provider program and Home Support Worker pilot program were newly introduced on June 18, 2019, and replaced the Caring for Children and Caring for People with High Medical Needs pilot programs.

13. Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot

The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program is driven by a community. It is specially designed to benefit the smaller communities by providing them with a path to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence.

Follow these steps to apply for Canadian PR under this Pilot program.

  • You must meet both
  • Eligibility requirements framed by IRCC and
  • The Specific requirements framed by the Community.
  • Find a valid job from an eligible employer among any one participating community.
  • After receiving the job offer from an eligible employer, submit your application to the community for the recommendation.
  • If your application gets approved by the community, you can apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence.

14. Agri-Food Pilot Project

The Agri-Food Pilot program is designed to focus on the needs of the labour of the Canadian agri-food sector.

The Agri-Food pilot program offers a pathway for all the experienced or non-seasonal individuals or workers to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence in particular industries as well as occupations. This pilot program will run until May 2023.

To apply for Canadian PR under the Agri-Food Pilot program, you must:

  • Need a valid Canadian work experience in more than or equal to any one of the eligible industries as well as occupations.
  • Need a full-time or a non-seasonal job offer from a valid Canadian employer (Outside Quebec).
