Canada hosted a Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) lottery for the first time in Express Entry history.

3,300 Invitations to Apply were issued in Canada's most recent Express Entry draw, which was targeted at Federal Skilled Worker Program applicants.

IRCC held their fourth Express Entry draw of 2023 today.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score for the draw on February 2 was 489, which is less  than all the prior program draw.

For 2023, Canada has set a record-high immigration goal of 465,000.

After accepting 45,115 applicants throughout all of 2022, Canada has already issued 15,813 ITAs in 2023.

The Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program applicants received all 114,431 of the record-breaking ITAs that IRCC issued in 2021. The previous high was 107,350, which was established in 2020.

The most recent draw was the first that was only intended for FSWP applicants.
