7,000 French-speaking candidates received invitations from the first targeted express entry draw of 2024.

The IRCC performed a targeted draw for profiles with level 7 French proficiency and a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 365 or higher.

On February 1st, 7,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residency (PR) were issued in the first targeted Express Entry draw of 2024.

This is the biggest number of invites to apply in a single targeted round of invitations, as well as the lowest CRS score cutoff in the history of the francophone Express Entry draw.
